Testing, not guessing

A clearer picture.
A practical next step.

You bring your experience. Relevant tests bring additional information. Together, they help establish a baseline, choose informed next steps and review what changes.

01

Quantify

Start with the short discovery video or confidential, non-biological questionnaire. A discovery call explores your experience and work context. Where suitable, relevant testing can establish a measured baseline.

02

Correct

Explore appropriate nutrition, lifestyle and workplace steps. Medical concerns belong with an appropriate clinician.

03

Monitor

Review what has changed in your experience and relevant results. The standard SWS BalanceTest review is around 120 days; other tests may follow different intervals.

What we can look at

The science, in everyday language.

Tests measure particular markers. They do not provide a complete explanation of stress, fatigue, recovery or performance.

Cellular resilience

Look beneath everyday impressions with relevant biological information, including fatty-acid status. Results add context rather than explaining your whole health.

Metabolic balance

Understand selected markers involved in how your body processes energy, alongside your circumstances and any appropriate clinical advice.

Recovery

Consider whether work demands leave room for rest and recovery, and where health or working conditions need attention.

Capacity

Explore the demands on you and your team, the support available and where practical changes could help.

Testing options, when appropriate

BalanceTest

Measures fatty-acid status to establish a baseline and compare relevant changes at review.

Gut-related markers

Explore specific markers relevant to gut health. The selected test and what it measures are explained before you decide.

Vitamin D and HbA1c

Vitamin D testing measures vitamin D status. HbA1c provides information about longer-term blood glucose. Suitability and any clinical follow-up are considered individually.

You receive an explanation of your results, relevant next steps and a review plan. Laboratory measurements are distinguished from any calculated SWS interpretations.

How your results help
Relevant test results give you a measured baseline, helping you choose informed nutrition, lifestyle and workplace steps and review changes over time. We bring those results together with your experience and work context, clearly distinguishing laboratory measurements from calculated SWS interpretations. Results support wellbeing decisions; assessment of burnout or medical concerns requires a wider professional evaluation.

Questions you may have

Clear answers before you decide.

Is burnout only psychological?

Work-related burnout is described by the WHO as an occupational phenomenon. It should be considered alongside working conditions and psychological pressures. Physical health, sleep, nutrition and recovery also belong in the wider wellbeing conversation; biological testing does not confirm burnout.

Read the WHO explanation

Will an employer see my individual results?

Individual responses and health results remain confidential and are not shared with an employer. In very small teams, even summaries may identify someone. Any organisational reporting needs a separate confidentiality assessment.

Why around 120 days for a BalanceTest review?

This is the standard SWS follow-up interval for comparing fatty-acid results. It broadly aligns with the typical lifespan of red blood cells; it is not a universal minimum for every biological test or a guarantee of improvement.

Does testing replace changes to workload or medical care?

No. Understanding work demands and making appropriate changes remain essential. Testing complements that conversation and does not replace medical assessment or treatment.

Evidence and responsible interpretation

Know what sits behind the explanation.

Our approach complements work-design and HR support. Biological measurements provide information about specific markers; workplace conversations and appropriate changes remain essential.

  • HSE Management Standards: a framework for examining demands, control, support, relationships, role and change.
  • Torrissen et al. (2025): research into global fatty-acid profiles. This does not validate SWS burnout prediction or proprietary scoring.
  • WHO explanation of burnout: burnout is an occupational phenomenon, rather than a diagnosis established by a blood test.
